The Supreme Court has suspended proceedings in the trial of Senate
President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal pending the
conclusion of the appeal filed by Saraki at the Apex court.
The prosecutor told the supreme court that Saraki will sign an
undertaken refraining him from doing anything at the tribunal pending
the determination of the suit.
The prosecutor said this while urging the court to grant a stay of
proceedings. The prosecutor also asked for accelerated hearing as not
doing so will give room for a caused person to continue to delay his
trial.
