A man who embarked on a trek from Lagos,has finally arrived in
Abuja.Unlike others who trekked for political candidates,46 year old
David Adjarho, Wednesday completed a 787-kilometer walk from Lagos to
Abuja..His aim to to promote “wrapper marathon’’ in Nigeria. Speaking to
newsmen uponhis arrival, he said wrapper marathon was aimed at
promoting the use of wrapper in marathons instead of wearing the
conventional Jaycees.
Adjarho who wrapped himself in a 15-yard Ankara material, said the walk he underwent was to promote a N500-million fund raiser for five Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) committed to humanitarian services in the country.
He said that his walk from Lagos to Abuja was to witness the inauguration of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.He added that

“I have been the only man involved in wrapper marathon in the world and if embraced in Nigeria, the competition will attract revenue and investment into the tourism sector. “I started this walk on May 6 from the National Stadium, Lagos and here I am now in Abuja on May 27.’’
