Five year old boy boy is 'beaten to death' in London park


 A five-year-old boy died after he was allegedly beaten in a park .
Alex Malcolm suffered serious head injuries while playing in Mountsfield Park in Catford, south-east London, at around 6pm on November 20.

Police were called at 1.45am the following day when he was admitted to King’s College Hospital. He died the next day in intensive care.


Ms Breha, who lives in Bromley, said:

 “I’m heartbroken, I miss him. I really struggle because he shouldn’t have been taken away from me. He was my best friend.” She said that Alex, her only child, was popular among classmates and enjoyed going to parks and on trips around London. He appeared as an angel in a nativity play last year and had recently completed a portfolio to begin child modelling.
 Marvyn Iheanacho, 38, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He was remanded in custody until March 10.
